We have developed a UEFI application using EDK1 and the Tianocore EFI toolkit. In particular our application performs networking using the EFI toolkit's TCPIPv4 stack (tcpipv4.efi) and the PXE drivers. The programming interface to this stack is BSD and that makes its use simple (at least to me). I can't see how we can achieve the same result using EDK2 so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
