1. I can read files, can copy files. I can launch HelloWorld.efi. I cannot start shell.efi. Why? The difference is only size.

What error info shows up when you start shell.efi? what's the size difference you mentioned? The size of shell.efi you ran is different?

2. From my application gBS->LoadImage() hangs. I wait for a 3minute then switch off.

Can't catch what you said. Do you have an application to invoke gBS->LoadImage() and the function doesn't return about 3mintues?

Thanks
Feng

Subject: [edk2] SATA/IDE problem

Dear sirs,

I am very tired to catch the issue and I give up.
The computer have IDE controller and slow IDE HDD.
With IdeBus+IdeController all works fine.
With AtaBus+AtaAtapi+SataController:
1. I can read files, can copy files. I can launch HelloWorld.efi. I cannot start shell.efi. Why? The difference is only size.
2. From my application gBS->LoadImage() hangs. I wait for a 3minute then switch off.
I see two differences between controllers: BlockIo2 protocol and DMA mode.
Debug is not possible because of large outputs.
Don't know what to do.

Sergey
