Ken,
You probably have a production D945PLNM A.K.A. Lakeport board. Although
the firmware / BIOS is a "Intel Platform Innovation Framework for EFI"
A.K.A "Framework" and "tiano", there is not an internal EFI shell built
into the production firmware to boot to.=20
You might try to build a USB Boot using DUET from the EDK project that
would include the EFI shell. Check for the Duet release notes on:
https://edk.tianocore.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList=20
Duet is build inside of the EDK.

thanks,
Laurie

Subject: [EDK DEV] Getting to the EFI shell on an Intel D945PLNM Board.

Hello,

I've managed to get my hands on an Intel D945PLNM board that is=20
advertised as featuring " the Intel Platform Innovation Framework for=20
Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI)". I've played with it a bit and I=20
can't seem to find any way into the EFI shell.

Does anyone know if this board actually uses EFI? If so, is there any=20
way to get to an EFI shell?

Thanks,

Ken Aaker
